Noteline is now on iPhone, iPad, and Android

Noteline is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Android. It's the same editor you know from the desktop app, tuned for a smaller screen — and it's free.

If you already write in Noteline on your Mac, Windows, or Linux machine, the mobile app will feel familiar in the first second. Type a # and it becomes a heading. Type **bold** and it turns bold, right where you typed it. The live preview renders your formatting inline as you write, so there's no split screen and no clutter — just clean text that quietly becomes a clean document, now in your pocket.

The same idea, on your phone

Noteline is built on one belief: your notes should be plain files you own, not rows in someone else's database. That doesn't change on mobile.

• Local-first. Your notes are ordinary .md files stored on the device. You can read them, back them up, and open them in any other Markdown app.
• Fully offline. No connection required, ever. Write on a plane, on the subway, in a dead zone — the app doesn't wait on a spinner.
• No account, no sign-in. Download it, open it, start writing. There's nothing to set up and no wall between you and a blank page.
• No tracking, no ads, no telemetry. Your notes never leave your device unless you move them yourself.

Live preview, made for typing

Mobile note apps usually make you choose: a raw text box that shows your ## and ** everywhere, or a rendered view you can't actually edit in. Noteline gives you both at once. Headings, bold, italics, lists, and checkboxes render as you type, and the caret stays exactly where you put it. Keep a checklist, jot a quick note, or draft something longer — it all stays readable while you work.

And because everything is Markdown, what you write on your phone is the same plain text you'd open on your laptop. No lock-in, no export step, no proprietary format to escape from later.

One format, everywhere

Noteline runs on the desktop, in the browser at noteline.io/app, and now on iOS and Android — all reading and writing the same .md files. Keep your notes in a folder you sync with iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, and they'll be there on every device, in an open format that will outlive any single app.
